About me

Dr. Liu is a licensed psychologist, consultant, and writer based in San Francisco. She received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology in New York. Prior to obtaining her doctoral degree, she trained as a clinical social worker with a master’s degree in social work from the University of Pennsylvania. She has worked and trained extensively in psychotherapy across diverse treatment settings and geographical locations, providing psychotherapy in English and Mandarin Chinese.

 

Dr. Liu is passionate about and experienced in helping AAPI  folks navigate intergenerational trauma and address family of origin issues, a dedication grounded in her own identity as an Asian American mental health provider, which offers a nuanced understanding of the unique challenges and strengths within the AAPI community.
